Girlie Fun Day

Today I met my sister and niece at the local mall for a few hours of super fabulous girlie fun. We shopped our little hearts out and our feet off, as mine are properly propped up right now resting. We also snacked while we shopped, having cookies and ice cream. Yum yum! We really had a blast.

The funniest moments were in the super huge shoe store that recently opened in the mall. My sister's penchant for high heeled peep-toes ("ooh look at these, oooh these are awesome, I gotta have these!") and my nieces antics while trying on "grown up shoes" (the knee high boots in the picture below were a riot) kept us all laughing.


My niece got herself a new stuffed friend at the Build-a-Bear place, she and I snagged some candy at the bulk candy store and we all got some smelly goods at the Bath & Body Shop. My brother-in-law and nephew were over at the Civic Center catching a monster truck jam while we were having our little girls day. When they were done we met up with them and then they gave me a ride home.

It was a super fun day spending time with two of my absolute favorite girls!

Digital Camera Help...

I recently bought a Kodak EasyShare M863 camera at Circuit City. I am not thrilled with the quality of pictures and some of the camera's functions. Mind you, I've only taken about 50 pictures so far, but when I uploaded them to my laptop and viewed them on the screen, they just looked horrible. My old camera was a Sony Cybershot DSC-S600. It took GREAT pictures but it had a lot of mechanical issues. I'd sent it back to the factory three times and it could really be worked on agian, but alas, my warranty is kaputz. So I've snapped off my usual fare of en route, on the road pictures and all of them suck. I've tried about 5 of the major "settings" and it doesn't seem to matter what I do, but they all turn out grainy and "foggy" and just crummy. For the money I paid for this camera it should take better quality pictures. Of course, today I reviewed the new camera online via various sites and it seems that the "crummy picture syndrome"

Open Forum

I have been thinking about opening myself up for questions and inquiry on both a personal and professional level recently. Today I decided I'd go for it. I am opening the floor to you, my readers, to ask me anything. Now, please understand that I have the right to refuse to answer any question I do no feel will be productive or at least entertaining. I am hoping for some really interesting questions, so don't disappoint me! I also would appreciate keeping things G or at least PG, in case there are young impressionable's reading this blog. Blowin' Stuff Up

Man, I've been seriously fortunate lately. Since I last posted, I had the pleasure of finally putting that darned HAZMAT endorsement to use by taking a load of potassium nitrate into Canada. Of course, my initial reaction was to wonder why my dispatcher hated me enough to do this to me. But then I realized it was just a fine opportunity to expand my horizons. I was afraid that the load was going to be a huge hassle when crossing the border. Turns out, they didn't give two craps about what I was hauling. I approached customs anticipating much ado and received...well... nothing. I was in Canada in less than 5 minutes upon reaching the border crossing. Woo hoo! So far so good. So I arrive at my destination and find myself thinking that finally the tables have turned and luck is running for the hills.
