Wanna Laugh?

You can go over to the Hyperbole and a Half blog or you can envision me making blood chili.

Blood chili you ask?

Well the chili got a little of my life force in it after I decided I wanted to know what it felt like to run the tip of my thumb across the edge of the lid on a freshly opened can of kidney beans. Yeah, no... it was actually an unfortunate accident that has landed me in an unsightly bad bandaging job covering said thumb that sadly is still dribbling Cullen catnip.

I should probably keep my hand elevated above my head until the bleeding stops. But then I couldn't blog.

So there.

Today is my first of two days off before my final week of training starts Sunday morning. I got up early and met my sister at our grandfathers' house where we visited for a few hours. Then she and I bailed and went to a Chinese buffet for lunch. After we were stuffed, we parted ways and I headed home.

I was home for about a half an hour before heading out again to tend to banking business. Deposits here, checks cashed there, close an account elsewhere. Then home again.

That's when the chili incident occurred. So now I'm whining about my throbbing, bleeding thumb to anyone willing to listen.

Tomorrow...who knows. Maybe a date with my sister and her two young'ens. Then it's a girls night at a friends house where I'll be pampered and fed at her double header Mary Kay and Tastefully Simple party. Yay.

Sunday begins my final week of training. I feel pretty good about the whole thing so far. I've gotten more solid training this past week. I did all of the driving for three days straight. All of the filling and handheld computer work too. So basically I've got the fundamentals of the job learned and figured out. I'm a little nervous but also excited to get this last week over with and get out there on my own.

What are you doing this weekend?

Sorry to hear about your thumb. Hope it is healed soon.

What I am doing this week you asked? Sitting behind a desk for 40hours but getting released each afternoon to go home to the hubby, kids, and grandkid. Always a good thing. :-)

Enjoy your last week as a 'trainee'.
