Celebrity Downers

I was just browsing pictures over at Yahoo! OMG and saw a few celebrities that I'd never seen before. I'd heard about them, most of them musicians whom I've heard on the airwaves for ages. But had never actually seen them.

I hate it when I picture someone looking a certain way and then when I finally see them I get deflated with disappointment because they are sooooo not what I expected. One of them today was David Guetta. Did NOT expect him to be a 40+ guy who looks like a rocker wanna-be.


Of course I also spotted a dude in a trio group that looks eerily like a friend I've known since childhood. And while I'm not gonna point out which one of the group Thirty Seconds to Mars it is that looks like that friend, those of you who have been in my life since childhood will probably know which one it is and just who he looks like.


And I'm not gonna bore you with a picture of Justin Bieber but I AM gonna say that he bears a striking resemblance to a girl I knew in Texas. Yes a girl. She was in the Navy. She was hot. And if Justin ever shaved his head they could seriously be mistaken for twins.

Digital Camera Help...

I recently bought a Kodak EasyShare M863 camera at Circuit City. I am not thrilled with the quality of pictures and some of the camera's functions. Mind you, I've only taken about 50 pictures so far, but when I uploaded them to my laptop and viewed them on the screen, they just looked horrible. My old camera was a Sony Cybershot DSC-S600. It took GREAT pictures but it had a lot of mechanical issues. I'd sent it back to the factory three times and it could really be worked on agian, but alas, my warranty is kaputz. So I've snapped off my usual fare of en route, on the road pictures and all of them suck. I've tried about 5 of the major "settings" and it doesn't seem to matter what I do, but they all turn out grainy and "foggy" and just crummy. For the money I paid for this camera it should take better quality pictures. Of course, today I reviewed the new camera online via various sites and it seems that the "crummy picture syndrome"

Open Forum

I have been thinking about opening myself up for questions and inquiry on both a personal and professional level recently. Today I decided I'd go for it. I am opening the floor to you, my readers, to ask me anything. Now, please understand that I have the right to refuse to answer any question I do no feel will be productive or at least entertaining. I am hoping for some really interesting questions, so don't disappoint me! I also would appreciate keeping things G or at least PG, in case there are young impressionable's reading this blog. I am anxious to see what you want to know about me and my life on the road. As questions come in and I have time to answer them, I will post them as individual blogs. Blowin' Stuff Up

Man, I've been seriously fortunate lately. Since I last posted, I had the pleasure of finally putting that darned HAZMAT endorsement to use by taking a load of potassium nitrate into Canada. Of course, my initial reaction was to wonder why my dispatcher hated me enough to do this to me. But then I realized it was just a fine opportunity to expand my horizons. I was afraid that the load was going to be a huge hassle when crossing the border. Turns out, they didn't give two craps about what I was hauling. I approached customs anticipating much ado and received...well... nothing. I was in Canada in less than 5 minutes upon reaching the border crossing. Woo hoo! So far so good. So I arrive at my destination and find myself thinking that finally the tables have turned and luck is running for the hills.
