Corn Dog Conundrum

at least I think I spelled that right.... but anywho.

So I arrived at a Pilot station in Ohio to take my 10hr. DOT required break and had the hunger pangs from hell kicking the crap out of my stomach. So I wandered into the station in search of some grubbage. There is an Arby's at this Pilot, but I wasn't really in the mood for over priced food. So I sought out the hot eats section of the actual Pilot. They generally have hot dogs and sausages and some sort of rolled up mexican thing.... but I got the score on the last two corn dogs in the joint! woo hoo!

You see, I've always loved corn dogs and I can never pass them up when I see them somewhere. They're probably one of my most favorite foods, pizza will always be number one though.

But as I was devouring said corn dogs I got to thinking... what is it about the corn dog that I truly like? I mean it's just a hot dog wiener wrapped in cornmeal and deep fried on a stick. Pretty simple really.

But there has to be something that makes my mouth water and my heart pitter patter every time I see a CORN DOG. Is it the hot dog wiener? The cornmeal? The combination of the two, perhaps? Maybe it's just the fact that the whole thing is served on a stick.... Or could it even just be those little crusties that are left over where the cornmeal baked onto the stick? Mmm Mmm!

So for any of you who might be fellow corn dog lovers... what does it for you?

just started reading your blogg. my hubby just went back to schneider and is doing his training with his regional TE this week. Im waiting for them t bring there school/training back and then im going get my license and then team with him! =D

As for the corndogs - i say its the cornmeal and the bonus is the crusties!! lol

Digital Camera Help...

I recently bought a Kodak EasyShare M863 camera at Circuit City. I am not thrilled with the quality of pictures and some of the camera's functions. Mind you, I've only taken about 50 pictures so far, but when I uploaded them to my laptop and viewed them on the screen, they just looked horrible. My old camera was a Sony Cybershot DSC-S600. It took GREAT pictures but it had a lot of mechanical issues. I'd sent it back to the factory three times and it could really be worked on agian, but alas, my warranty is kaputz. So I've snapped off my usual fare of en route, on the road pictures and all of them suck. I've tried about 5 of the major "settings" and it doesn't seem to matter what I do, but they all turn out grainy and "foggy" and just crummy. For the money I paid for this camera it should take better quality pictures. Of course, today I reviewed the new camera online via various sites and it seems that the "crummy picture syndrome"

Open Forum

I have been thinking about opening myself up for questions and inquiry on both a personal and professional level recently. Today I decided I'd go for it. I am opening the floor to you, my readers, to ask me anything. Now, please understand that I have the right to refuse to answer any question I do no feel will be productive or at least entertaining. Blowin' Stuff Up

Man, I've been seriously fortunate lately. Since I last posted, I had the pleasure of finally putting that darned HAZMAT endorsement to use by taking a load of potassium nitrate into Canada. Of course, my initial reaction was to wonder why my dispatcher hated me enough to do this to me. But then I realized it was just a fine opportunity to expand my horizons. I was afraid that the load was going to be a huge hassle when crossing the border. Turns out, they didn't give two craps about what I was hauling. I approached customs anticipating much ado and received...well... nothing. I was in Canada in less than 5 minutes upon reaching the border crossing. Woo hoo! So far so good.
