Hanging at the Hotel

September 22, 2007 - Saturday


So I got back to Indy this morning and don't go back on duty until tomorrow. So I am holed up in the local Holiday Inn. It's nice. T V, Internet, comfy king size bed...and a Damon's with a full service bar downstairs.

I've also had time to play around with my MySpace... updated some of the blurbs and added some new foto's. Check it out!

I have been sitting here browing through some of your pages. And it's so interesting to see how life is progressing for some of you. New marriages, pregnancies and anniversaries. New jobs and new dreams. I'm so happy for all of my friends for all of the wonderful things that are happening in their lives.

I feel like my life is going very well, too. I feel like I made the right choice for this part of my life with my new career. I'm loving every minute of it... even the frustrating minutes. It has been both humbling and empowering, learning that my capabilities are much greater than I'd ever given myself credit for. I'm doing things I never dreamed I could or would do and that's just a great feeling.

.... well I need to get moving for now. My tummy is grumbling and I am gonna give it a nice steak lunch I think! Yum Yum. But I'll be back! You betcha!

Digital Camera Help...

I recently bought a Kodak EasyShare M863 camera at Circuit City. I am not thrilled with the quality of pictures and some of the camera's functions. Mind you, I've only taken about 50 pictures so far, but when I uploaded them to my laptop and viewed them on the screen, they just looked horrible. My old camera was a Sony Cybershot DSC-S600. It took GREAT pictures but it had a lot of mechanical issues. I'd sent it back to the factory three times and it could really be worked on agian, but alas, my warranty is kaputz. So I've snapped off my usual fare of en route, on the road pictures and all of them suck. I've tried about 5 of the major "settings" and it doesn't seem to matter what I do, but they all turn out grainy and "foggy" and just crummy. For the money I paid for this camera it should take better quality pictures. Of course, today I reviewed the new camera online via various sites and it seems that the "crummy picture syndrome"

Open Forum

I have been thinking about opening myself up for questions and inquiry on both a personal and professional level recently. Today I decided I'd go for it. I am opening the floor to you, my readers, to ask me anything. Now, please understand that I have the right to refuse to answer any question I do no feel will be productive or at least entertaining. I am hoping for some really interesting questions, so don't disappoint me! I also would appreciate keeping things G or at least PG, in case there are young impressionable's reading this blog. I am anxious to see what you want to know about me and my life on the road. As questions come in and I have time to answer them, I will post them as individual blogs.
