Teething Insanity

I think this whole teething thing is for the birds. 

I want my happy, giggly, fun to be around baby back.

Since about this past Friday, Leelu has transitioned into a whiny, slobbery, crying mess of a child.  It looks like she's got about four teeth trying to come in right now.  One is barely peeking through on her upper right gums, but the others are just below the surface making her gums all swollen and sore.

We've given her cold things to chew on, popsicles and the like. We have provided her with plenty of teething rings and such.  She finds some comfort chewing on her fingers as well it seems.  But when it going gets tough and she's in too much pain to tolerate it, we've given her some Children's Tylenol to ease her pain. 

Today I'm going to get some Children's Motrin too, for a change of pace and to see if it will help with her swelling. 

I feel soooooo bad for her.  I can't imagine what she must be going through.  She has moments where she is fine, but they're getting fewer and further in between.  I just wish the teeth would come in already and give her a break.

Digital Camera Help...

I recently bought a Kodak EasyShare M863 camera at Circuit City. I am not thrilled with the quality of pictures and some of the camera's functions. Mind you, I've only taken about 50 pictures so far, but when I uploaded them to my laptop and viewed them on the screen, they just looked horrible. My old camera was a Sony Cybershot DSC-S600. It took GREAT pictures but it had a lot of mechanical issues. I'd sent it back to the factory three times and it could really be worked on agian, but alas, my warranty is kaputz. So I've snapped off my usual fare of en route, on the road pictures and all of them suck. I've tried about 5 of the major "settings" and it doesn't seem to matter what I do, but they all turn out grainy and "foggy" and just crummy. For the money I paid for this camera it should take better quality pictures. Of course, today I reviewed the new camera online via various sites and it seems that the "crummy picture syndrome"

Open Forum

I have been thinking about opening myself up for questions and inquiry on both a personal and professional level recently. Today I decided I'd go for it. I am opening the floor to you, my readers, to ask me anything. Now, please understand that I have the right to refuse to answer any question I do no feel will be productive or at least entertaining. I am hoping for some really interesting questions, so don't disappoint me! I also would appreciate keeping things G or at least PG, in case there are young impressionable's reading this blog. Blowin' Stuff Up

Man, I've been seriously fortunate lately. Since I last posted, I had the pleasure of finally putting that darned HAZMAT endorsement to use by taking a load of potassium nitrate into Canada. Of course, my initial reaction was to wonder why my dispatcher hated me enough to do this to me. But then I realized it was just a fine opportunity to expand my horizons. I was afraid that the load was going to be a huge hassle when crossing the border. Turns out, they didn't give two craps about what I was hauling. I approached customs anticipating much ado and received...well... nothing. I was in Canada in less than 5 minutes upon reaching the border crossing. Woo hoo! So far so good. So I arrive at my destination and find myself thinking that finally the tables have turned and luck is running for the hills.
