Beating the Heat, the adorable way.

The other day we finally tried out the baby pool Leelu's Aunt Jessi got her for Easter.  It was a hit!

A bag of beach toys only cost us $1 at the piece goods store and provided endless entertainment while in the pool.


The pool is big enough for baby and mommy, so I got in a bit of a soak and splash too!

I think Leelu really likes the water, she splashed and played and had a grand old time.

The only trouble had with our first day in the pool was my own bathing suit being a bit too small. Butt cheeks kept popping out all over!  I was glad that I'd not decided to take Leelu to a public pool before this test run of our baby pool.

You see, I've not purchased a new swim suit in probably the better part of 6 years.  But then, the one I have I've only worn a handful of times. I'm not a big swimmer really.  I bought the suit pretty much just to wear in a creek at our favorite camping location in North Carolina which we frequent all of once a year.

So after our day at the pool I decided that it was high time for me to go buy a suit that fits.  Thankfully K-Mart had their bathing suits on sale 50% off so I got a cute suit for half the price!

If I ever feel brave enough to allow myself to be photographed in my new suit, I'll consider posting a pic of it.  It is cute.  But I am shy about showing so much skin, so don't hold your breath.

Digital Camera Help...

I recently bought a Kodak EasyShare M863 camera at Circuit City. I am not thrilled with the quality of pictures and some of the camera's functions. Mind you, I've only taken about 50 pictures so far, but when I uploaded them to my laptop and viewed them on the screen, they just looked horrible. My old camera was a Sony Cybershot DSC-S600. It took GREAT pictures but it had a lot of mechanical issues. I'd sent it back to the factory three times and it could really be worked on agian, but alas, my warranty is kaputz. So I've snapped off my usual fare of en route, on the road pictures and all of them suck. I've tried about 5 of the major "settings" and it doesn't seem to matter what I do, but they all turn out grainy and "foggy" and just crummy. Open Forum

I have been thinking about opening myself up for questions and inquiry on both a personal and professional level recently. Today I decided I'd go for it. I am opening the floor to you, my readers, to ask me anything. Now, please understand that I have the right to refuse to answer any question I do no feel will be productive or at least entertaining. Mmm...Jello

I just finished a sugar free Cherry Gel snack ( I can't call it Jell-O since it's officially a generic brand that I bought). It was yummy. Not nearly as yummy as the foods I spoiled myself with the last few days. Night one, sushi. It was damn good sushi shared with good company, whom I know let me off really cheap on my cost of the meal. It was fantastic and I was surprised at how well sushi went with light beer. Go figure. Night two, Mongolian. O M G I could eat Mongolian every freaking day for the rest of my life and never tire. It's the bestest. Primarily because you make it how you want it.
